MINISTRY
GOALS:
The vision of Admenu For Jesus:
We strive to influence every
believer to have a passion for God, a passion for people, and a passion
to serve.
Statement of Purpose and Mission: The Admenu Site exists to
promote personal relationships with Jesus disciples in the entire
world, beginning with personal relationship with Jesus, then by performing God's
work, Living God's way and for glory of God...
Statement
of
Faith:
God
God is the Creator and
Ruler of the universe
and He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the
Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.
Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; I Peter 1:2; II
Corinthians 13:14
Man
God made Man in the
spiritual image of God,
to be like Him in character. He is the supreme object of God's
creation. Although man has tremendous potential for good, he is marred
by an attitude of disobedience toward God called "sin." This attitude
is the separator of man from God. Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah
53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2
Eternity
Man was created to exist
forever. He will
either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God,
through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God
is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and
Hell are places of eternal existence. John 3:16; I John 2:25 and
5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15
Jesus
Christ
Jesus Christ is the Son of
God. He is
co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered
Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a
cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power
over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again
to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Matthew 1:22-23;
Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5 and 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; I Corinthians
15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; I Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13
Salvation
Salvation is a gift from
God to man. Man can
never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by
trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can man be saved
from sin's penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus
Christ into his life by faith. We are by the grace of God which is the
unmerited favor of God and not by works but it is the gift of God
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6
and 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1
Baptism
Baptism is the outward
expression of an
inward experience of asking Christ to come into a person’s heart. This
is a command by Jesus that people repent and be baptized. The Baptism
is by immersion and illustrated dying to sin and being buried in sin
and through Christ arising to walk in newness of life. The old sinful
self gives way to the Christ way and emerges from the baptismal waters
to be obedient to God. God approved baptism and showed his pleasure in
it, at the baptism of Jesus. He said, “This is my beloved son in whom I
am well pleased…” In order to qualify to be baptized one must
personally believe in Jesus as the Son of the Living God and personally
invite Him into one’s life repenting of sin and desire to live for
Jesus.
Eternal
Security
Because God gives man
eternal life through
Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in that salvation for eternity.
Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the
self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God
that gives this security. John 10:29; II Timothy 1:12; Hebrews 7:25 and
10:10-14; I Peter 1:3-5
The
Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is equal
with the Father and
the Son as God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their
need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment
of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living,
understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right.
The Christian seeks to live under His control daily. II Corinthians
3:17; John 16:7-13 and 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; I Corinthians 2:12 and 3:16;
Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18
The
Bible
The Bible is God's Word to
all men. Human
authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit wrote the
Bible. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and
living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture
of error. II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21; II Timothy 1:13; Psalm
119:105,160 and 12:6; Proverbs 30:5
The
Church:
We are the very temple of
God. Our bodies are
to be living sacrifices to God. Through Christ believers become one
body united in Spirit of worship and faith. The church is not a
building but the believers that bond together through the blood of
Jesus Christ. The church is a living organism, pulsating and breathing
and spiritually enlivened to share the Gospel of Christ sing praises
unto God. The members must be baptized believers and each one has a
responsibility to serve God.
Our
Core Values
We value personal obedience
to Scripture in all areas of life. Do not merely listen to the
Word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. [James 1:22]
All Scripture is given by
inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete,
thoroughly equipped for every good work. [2 Timothy 3:16,
17]
We
value servant hood. Putting
others before ourselves just as the Son of Man did not come to be
served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many. [Matt.
20:25-28]
Serving with gladness.
Worship
the
Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs.
[Psalm 100:2] We value excellence whatever your finds to do, do
it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is
neither working, nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom. [Ecc. 9:10]
Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in
himself, without comparing himself to somebody else. [Gal. 6:4]
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the
Lord, not for men. [Col. 3:23]
We value authenticity. We will
be truthful, sincere, and honest and open in our dealings with one
another.
We will speak the truth in love.
Now
this
is our boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted
ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, in
the holiness and sincerity that are from God. We have done so not
according to worldly wisdom but according to God’s grace. [2 Corinth.
1:12]
We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians, and opened
wide our hearts to you. [2 Corinth. 6:11]
We value respect of all people.
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility
consider others better than you. Each of you should look not only to
your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude
should be the same as that of Christ Jesus. [Phil. 2:3-5] My
brothers, as believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, don’t show
favoritism. [James 2:1]
We value teamwork.
We value people’s giftedness and therefore encourage everyone to find
and use their gifts in the appropriate ministry. Only when we do this
is the team at its best! Two are better off than one,
because together they can work more effectively. [Ecc. 4:9 GNB]
In Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs
to all the others. [Romans 12:5] Each one should use whatever
gift he has received to serve others. [1 Peter 4:10]
We value freedom and innovation. Recognizing
that all people are different, we value innovation and the freedom to
do whatever it takes to reach them with the gospel of Christ.
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. [2 Corinthians 3:17
NIV] Wise men and women are always learning, always listening for fresh
insights. [Proverbs 18:15 The Message]
We value growth.
We value personal spiritual growth, believing every member must make a
conscious commitment to grow to spiritual maturity. . . until we all
reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and
become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of
Christ. [Ephesians 4:13 NIV] We value church growth,
recognizing that under Christ’s control, . . . the whole body . . .is
supported and held together. . . and it grows as God wants it to grow.
[ Colossians 2:19 GNB]
We value relationships.
 |
God/Christ
- Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your
soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. [Mark
12:30]
|
 |
Family - But as
for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. [Joshua
24:15]
|
 |
Others - Love your
neighbor as yourself. [Mark 12:31]
|
We value unity. How
good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity. [Psalm
133:1] May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you
a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus. . .
[Romans 15:5] Make every effort {do whatever it takes} to keep
the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace. [Ephesians 4:3]
